About this event
What to expect
Celebrate the life force of the Richmond River at the annual 2026 Richmond RiverFest — a month-long celebration of festivals and events that connect you to the Richmond River. Launching in Ballina on World Rivers Day, RiverFest flows upstream over four incredible weeks, with storytelling, culture, food, tree plantings and community experiences along the way. More than a festival, it's a place-based celebration of culture, community and environmental renewal — a reason to explore multiple Northern Rivers destinations and stay a while. Whether you're travelling from across NSW or over the border, RiverFest is fast becoming a must-do on the annual events calendar.
