What to expect
Pull on your boots and round up your favourite people for Cowboys & Country at Historic Rivermill.
Only 30 minutes from central Gold Coast, on the banks of the Coomera River, Historic Rivermill goes western for the day. Bring your partner, your mates or the whole family for country music, cowboy traditions, animal encounters and outdoor fun.
Enjoy live country music in the riverside setting. On Saturday, Newcastle country singer-songwriter Piper Butcher will perform live.
Step onto the dance floor for line dancing, with no partner or experience needed, or hop on the mechanical bull for a little adventure. Watch whip cracking in action and explore the property on a led horse ride for children and adults.
Meet Australian reptiles up close with a licensed handler, feed the alpacas and other animals, and head down to the river for turtle feeding. Younger visitors can also enjoy the jumping castle and kids' corner.
Browse market stalls from local growers and makers, and grab a bite from the café, barbecue or sausage sizzle, with food and drinks available throughout the day.
